Description: St. Peter’s School & College in Raebareli organized Teacher’s Day on the birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the former president of India. The School premises were decorated and the stage was set. At the stroke of the bell, the Teacher’s Day programme was scheduled to start. Along with the teachers, the Principal Rev. Fr. Reginald D’Souza, the Headmistress Rev. Sr. Susheela Remy, the guest of Honour Dr. Rahul Singh, Mr. Kubhele president of Bharat Vikas Parishad & a few more dignified guests were also present at the function. The function started with lighting of the lamp by the dignified guests, Principal, Headmistress and the teachers. After paying floral tribute to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan & Mother Teressa, the President of Bharat Vikash Parishad honoured Vimarsh Shukla with the best student award in academics, Toral Bajpai with the all rounder award and Satakshi with the award in Sports. The best teacher award was given to a senior teacher Mrs. Tanuja Dwivedi. “A skit” portraying “the role and importance of teachers” was eye catching. Rev Fr. Reginald D’Souza, the principal of the college gave a speech thanking & appreciating all the teachers for their hard work and dedication and for their role in helping the school achieve new height as well as instructed the students “ What is the best gift?” a student could give to his or her teacher. Dances were performed for the teachers to enjoy. The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by the Head Boy, Sajal Ghai thanking the efforts of the teachers in shaping the life of the students and inspiring them.
