St. Peter’s
School and College, Raebareli organized a solemn occasion with zeal and
enthusiasm on July 22, 2025 marking the formation of the new student council
for the academic year 2025-26 and to bestow the responsibilities on the newly elected
student council.
“Leadership
is the capacity to translate vision into reality” Hence to foster school spirit,
encourage positive behavior and recognize the dedication of students; a student
council has been chosen to represent their peers.
The ceremony
commenced with the march-past by the newly elected cabinet showcasing their
unity, discipline and pride. They marched in synchronization, creating a sense
of camaraderie. The next was the lighting of the lamp, a tradition symbolising,
the removal of darkness and acquisition of knowledge and wisdom. This sacred ritual
was performed by the chief guest Mr. Amit Singh, Circle officer, city
Raebareli, the principal Rev. Fr. Jacob Bona D’Souza, the Head Mistress Rev.
Sr. Susheela Remy, newly elected Head boy Aseem Srivastava and the newly
elected Head Girl Sakshi Shukla, setting a solemn tone for the ceremony. Following
the lighting of the lamp, a welcome speech was delivered by Mr. Francis Rego
and a warm floral welcome was extended by the principal Rev. Fr. Jacob Bona
D’Souza to the chief guest Mr. Amit Singh.
Then most
awaited moment arrived as the honour of the council members commenced. The
Newly elected members of the student council were invited on to the stage where
they were adorned with sashes by the Chief Guest of the day, the Principal and
the Headmistress. This symbolic gesture marked the recognition of their
leadership roles within the school. The members of the student council then took
the solemn oath pledging to uphold the school’s values and serve their fellow
students.
The ceremony
was graced by Mr. Amit Singh’s, inspiring address motivating the students to
embrace leadership roles and contribute to the school’s progress.
The
principal’s address too highlighted the importance of shouldering the responsibilities
to the fullest.
The Head Boy
Aseem Srivastava and the Head girl Sakshi Shukla delivered inspiring speeches
expressing their gratitude and outlining their vision for the year emphasizing
the importance of teamwork, discipline and responsibility.
Finally, the
ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by the Head Prefect
Manjari Srivastava expressing appreciation to the Chief Guest, honourable Principal,
the school leadership and all who contributed to the success of the event.
Special thanks was extended to the students for their active participation and
to the organizing committee for ensuring a smooth executed ceremony.
The
Investiture ceremony was truly an inspiring event instilling a sense of
responsibility in the newly appointed council members and leaving a lasting
impression on all present.
